He's already boxed twice at 75kg at the 25th Youth Championships in Kolobrzeg, Poland, and made an immediate impact,

A total of 266 boxers from 37 countries will be gunning for glory at the 25th Youth Championships inside the Hala Millennium Arena over the next eight days.

First his rival from Belarus, Petar Nosic, quit on his stool after just a round of their preliminary clash on the opening day of the tournament.

The 18-year-old middleweight, who fights out of Wodensborough Boxing Club, promised to go for the kill and so it proved.

Nosic retired at the end of the first session hurt in the corner, after being put down twice by Team England's captain.

Whittaker's right hand proved a menace and bowled over Nosic on a couple of occasions, blows even the brief respite of the bell couldn't save him from.

He then outclassed Italy's Giovanni Sarchioto on day two, comfortably winning all of the three rounds in a unanimous points victory. He'll next meet Ireland's John Joyce on Wednesday.
