Cradley's Chris Male will be supported by two fighters from his own gym on the undercard of his English title fight in Dudley next month.

Male will finally get his shot at the English featherweight crown next month against Leeds' Josh Warrington at the Venue on November 9.

And the punching postman will be backed up by Stourbridge's Steven Pearce and Dudley's Riswan Rasool on the bill of his home show.

All three are stable-mates at Shaun Cooper's gym in Brierley Hill and there's been a buzz in training as they prepare for their next ring date.

Male has seen two meetings with Joe Murray and a clash with Jon Fernandes called off before fight night, all with the vacant belt on the line.

With the title - which hasn't been competed for in six years - still up in the air, 'the Male Man' and Fernandes will risk their unbeaten records.

Pearce will provide chief support having recovered from a broken hand in his previous fight, a points win over Billy Smith two weeks ago.

Walsall Town Hall and Wolverhampton Civic Hall have been the battle grounds for 'Fierce Pearce' so far and Dudley is another home from home.

The 27-year-old light welterweight - a Midlands champion in the ABA Novices as an amateur - is unbeaten in five pro contests so far.

Rasool's winning pro debut at the New Bingley Hall in Birmingham eight months ago was his first competitive contest in over a decade.

The lightweight will now be pitted against the experience of Kristian Laight, 32, a veteran of 143 paid contests over the past nine years.

Tickets are available now and the event is a dinner show, but passes can also be purchased just to watch the boxing at £30.

For the three-course meal, tickets are £60. For more information, call the Venue on 01384 453 104 or 07964 722 736.
