Harriers limped out of the competition at the fourth qualifying round stage as they were beaten 3-0 by the Glassboys in front of more than 400 travelling fans.

Viewed by many as the worst result in the club's recent history, a fuming Brown described the performance as 'unacceptable' and vowed to meet with the players to express his frustration.

In a message posted just hours after the defeat on the club's official website, he said: "Losing a game of football is something you can accept in the right circumstances but that was far from acceptable today and I feel for supporters.

"They have been very patient and understanding the club is in a period of transition at the moment, but there is no excuse for a lack of passion and a lack of desire.

"I want our fans to understand that what I saw as chairman of the football club hurt me as well, and it is something I will speak to the players about personally next week.

"We have lost games this season but always been competitive - today we did not show the desire to compete and that's the very least those paying their money to watch Kidderminster Harriers deserve."

Goals from Matt Dodd, Justin Richards and Chris Lait condemned Harriers, who remain winless this season, to defeat.

Head coach Dave Hockaday said: "I could stand here for hours and tell you all the things we did wrong."
