The Stoke City academy product signed a one-year deal with the Pitmen last summer and made a big impression in his time at Keys Park.

Playing over 30 times during the last campaign, he scored seven goals.

He was named Supporters Association Player of the Season, Management Player of the Season and Travel Club Player of the Season.

The 22-year-old winger also won Sportsman of the Season, after collecting just two yellow cards all season.

Liam McDonald has took over as manager following Hednesford's relegation to the Evo-Stik Premier.

Thomas is the second big name to leave the club in the last couple of days, following ex-skipper Ben Bailey's departure for AFC Telford United.
