Chasetown went down 1-0 at home to Market Drayton Town on one of those nights that their supporters will wonder how they didn't make all three points theirs.

Inside 15 minutes, Nathan Waite, Stan Mugisha and Jono Gould all had early chances either blocked or just wide of the Market Drayton goal.

As is often the way, the visitors took the lead with their first chance with Thomas Lowe driving home with a crisp shot beyond goalkeeper John Bateman.

Drayton goalkeeper Ash Rawlins made a great save with his face to block Waite from three yards out.

Then after Paul McMullen could only partly clear, Rawlins parried and grasped Gould's volley at the second attempt.

On the hour, Lee Butler crossed from the right and Ryan Wynter saw his header spectacularly saved by Rawlins over for a corner.

Chasetown threw everything forward in a fruitless attempt to force an equaliser and, in the dying seconds, Butler received a straight red card.
