Ally Robertson: Keep this up and Darren Moore has a chance for the West Brom job

If Darren goes on until the end of the season in the same vein, and the team keep performing as they have been, he is a serious contender to take the reins.

He has gone in there, done it, and if he can carry it on until the end of the season, there is a real chance it will happen.

If Darren does not get the job, he has got to be kept on in some capacity as he is Albion through and through.

It is nice to know there is a little something for fans to get behind going into next season, a club legend like Darren helping to put a smile back on people’s faces.

Then you have had Ben Foster and Chris Brunt state their commitment to the cause.

You know they are going to buy into what the club will be trying to achieve next season, and Darren too even if he is not the manager.

There at least seems to be some foundations to build on for the next man.

We know there is likely to be a lot of movement in the transfer market this summer, but Albion can’t sell every single player, so there will still be half of a squad that lived through this season.

And it will be important to go into that season with momentum and the man who gave the club that momentum still around.

Darren’s up for manager of the month and up for player of the month is Jake Livermore, who has really stepped up his performances since Alan Pardew was sacked.

He has started to show the player he can be, and why Gareth Southgate is so keen on him for England.

When there is a change, there should always be an improvement like that because a fresh approach naturally gets the juices flowing again.

But it should have happened the last time around, and it didn’t.

When Alan came, we didn’t move one bit either way. We may have played a slightly more expansive style of football, but the results stayed the same, and by the end, the team were playing in the same way they were before Tony Pulis went.

Darren has come in and there has been a big shift in mentality, and for that he deserves immense credit.

Ultimately, I just hope we can keep giving it 100 per cent and see out the season properly.
