Libor Kozak and Ron Vlaar today added to Villa's injury woes and are already doubts to face Manchester United.

moreThe duo missed yesterday's 2-0 defeat at Fulham after suffering knocks in last week's win at Southampton.

Vlaar came off at half time with a calf problem and Kozak, who scored his third of the season at St Mary's, picked up a toe injury.

And boss Paul Lambert is unsure whether the duo will be fit in time to play United when the defending champions visit Villa Park on Sunday.

He said: "Kozak had a problem with his toe which he got in the first half the other night and played on with it. It was too painful for him to get on with it yesterday.

"We have to wait and see how it is, it was giving him so much discomfort he couldn't get his boot on the other day.

"I don't know how long Ron is going to be out. It's hard to say but it's not as bad as his last one was last year. Things are a lot more positive with this one.

"I don't think it'll be months, nothing like that. I don't know about the United game, it depends how he's feeling and how the injury comes on."
