Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is set to revamp the club's scouting network.

The Scot is keen to appoint Ian Culverhouse and Gary Karsa, who were his assistant and head of football operations at Norwich.

Villa's head of scouting Paul Montgomery and senior talent-spotters Glenn Roeder – a Norwich predecessor of Lambert's – and Arthur Numan are set to leave Villa Park.

Former boss Alex McLeish took Montgomery from Birmingham last summer while Roeder was appointed by Gerard Houllier.

Numan, an ex-Holland international, played under McLeish at Rangers and was given responsibility of finding players in the Netherlands and was instrumental in the signing of Australian rett Holman.

Holman joined on a free transfer after ten years in Holland's top flight.

He said:? "The way they play in Holland is very technical and mixed with an Aussie mentality I think it is a great combination."

Potential signing Karim El Ahmadi was identified by the former Wycombe, Colchester and Norwich chief and Lambert has other targets he wants to pursue.
