Stafford roadworks: Severn Trent work causes misery for motorists
These pictures show the delays being caused by another round of Severn Trent roadworks in Stafford.
Around half a mile of traffic stretches back from the water company's latest work on the A34 in Queensville, which is expected to last at least three weeks.
This is in addition to roadworks less than a mile down the road, outside Queensville Stores.
With these long delays in place mid-morning during the Easter holidays, disruption is likely to get worse during rush hour and when schools return.
The firm has been working in the town for more than a year now.
The overall project has also included closures in Meadow Ridge, the junction of Riverway to Lichfield Road and Weston Road.
The company is also planning upgrade two major sewage pumping stations.
Its £15 million investment in the area will help prevent sewer flooding and burst water pipes.
