[gallery] On the 71st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, crowds gathered in Wolverhampton to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2016.

The St Peter's Day service was one of several taking place around the region in tribute to the millions of people killed in the Holocaust and subsequent genocides.

The theme of this year's commemoration is 'Don't Stand By'.
