Prince William delighted young and old as he visited two schools, a charity and Birmingham's Centenary Square during a busy day of engagements.

The Duke started by attending the unveiling of paving stones dedicated to local Victoria Cross recipients at Centenary Square.

He then visited Saltley Academy, where he played football as part of the Football for Peace Initiative, before heading to Bournville College to learn about the Diana Award.

The Prince finished the day at St Basils, a charity dedicated to supporting young homeless people and people at risk of becoming homeless across the West Midlands.
