The march by the Justice 4 Dalian Atkinson campaign will take place from 1.30pm until 5pm and move from Telford Town Park to West Mercia Police HQ in Malinsgate.

Following the march there will be a rally outside of the police station with speakers.

Campaigner Desmond Jaddoo said: "We are highlighting the continual request for robust and transparent investigation into the highly questionable circumstances surrounding the death of the former Aston Villa footballer and local hero Dalian Atkinson following contact with West Mercia Police on August 15, 2016.

"This is also coupled with the ongoing concerns with reference to members of the African and Caribbean Community being subject to matters of disproportionally when they are subject to police contact.

"There have been many cases which has taken a number of years for answers, which in some cases have never been forthcoming and it is clear in this matter answers are needed and quickly as well.

"It is to be noted that West Mercia Police has acted quickly in ensuring that the officers concerned have been suspended.

"The campaign wants to ensure that the importance of this is kept firmly on the agenda and that clear and accountable answers are forthcoming sooner rather than later."

The 48-year-old's death is being investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
