Caught on camera: Suspects sought after money stolen in Stafford

CCTV images of two men police want to speak to after cheques and cash were stolen from a portable cabin in Stafford.

The incident involved two men who broke into a locked portable cabin at Brocton Business Park in Cannock Road.

A tin containing cheques and an undisclosed quantity of cash were stolen.

Pictures released from CCTV footage shows one of the men peeking out from the side of a building on the site.

In other images he is seen in full, venturing out into the open wearing a bulky jacket, the collar turned up and a peaked cap pulled down over his eyes. In one of the pictures he appears to be grinning.

Police have issued a description of the pair. The first man is said to be black, aged in his late 30s, about 6ft tall, and of stocky build. He was wearing a black padded jacket and baseball cap.

The second man is described as white, aged in his late 30s, about 5ft 10in tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black jacket and baseball cap.

The burglary took place in the early evening of May 29 at 5.10pm but the police have only just released these images.

Officers from Stafford Borough Local Policing Team are urging anyone with information or who recognises the men to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
