This beautiful creatures were captured by Fred Trow, aged 76, after they wandered into the garden of his property in Amberwood Close near Willenhall's fire station.

The amateur photographer says he first spotted the female adult about three weeks ago but said at the time he was unsure if she was pregnant or rearing young due to her appearance.

Then one day the female turned up with a male out of the blue foraging for food at the premises. The cub was also with them but Mr Tow was unable to capture the young one on camera before it ran off.

"On the evening I took the picture, my wife was in the kitchen cooking our evening meal and saw the mother and a cub from the kitchen window," he said.

"She shouted to me to get my camera to me because the mother and a cub were in the garden.

"The cub left before I got there but then the parents, pictured, came sniffing round for food. It was a beautiful sight.

"I rushed and got my camera, but only saw a glimpse of the cub before he ran off.

"I decided to eat my meal on the work-top in the kitchen with my camera at the ready and was rewarded by what I assumed were the two parents searching for food."

Mr Trow, a retired senior local government officer, took up photography only about five years ago and attends a group with other enthusiasts at Coltham Gallery at the Holy Trinity Church centre based in Coltham Road, Short Heath.

He uses a Sony A65 24 mega pixel camera and says he was very pleased with the results of the images of the foxes that seemed oblivious that they were being watched.
