More roadworks on busy Wolverhampton route

More roadworks have been announced along one of Wolverhampton's busiest roads.

Stafford Road has been plagued with cones, diversions and lane closures in recent months, with the latest set of works on its junction with Vine Island causing delays of up to an hour.

And now, a traffic lane that is heading into Wolverhampton will shut up until May 18.

Western Power Distribution is installing a new electricity supply and will close the lane for 24 hours a day.

It will be between house numbers 394 and 338.

Emergency gas work lasting two weeks on Stafford Road has only just come to an end.

Businesses in and around Vine Island have long complained of roadworks, saying trade has been hit.
