Could you give a home to kittens found astray on Sedgley Beacon?

Homes are being sought for two kittens found astray at the top of Sedgley Beacon.

The cats, thought to be aged between eight and nine weeks, were discovered on the hill three weeks ago by a walker.

Now cat fosterer Pauline Temple-Jones, from Upper Gornal, is calling for help to find new homes for the kittens.

She said: "I couldn't believe both the kittens were found alone at the top of the beacon.

"There are no homes nearby and they came running to the walker who found them, so I presume they had been dumped not long before.

"They wouldn't have survived long on their own in the wet and cold up there for sure.

"It was a real strange one."

After the kittens were delivered to her, Ms Temple-Jones has had them checked over by a vet, who found them in good health.

She is planning to get them both neutered before rehoming.

She said: "They haven't been impacted by what happened at all - they are lovely, adorable kittens who now just need a safe home."

Ms Temple-Jones already has six cats herself. She is well-known in the community for helping rehouse stray pets.

She said: "I always need help when rehoming- there has been more incidents like this in recent months.

"I think it is because too many pet owners are not neutering their cats. "

Anyone who can help should call Ms Temple-Jones on 01902 672031.
