Two in court over Willenhall garage knife robbery

Two men have appeared in court charged in connection with a knifepoint robbery at a petrol garage.

Shane Waddington, aged 26, and Raymond Meeson, aged 34, faced allegations relating to a raid at Country Bridge Petrol Station, in Willenhall, on Saturday.

They have both been charged with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon, and threatening a person with a blade.

Messon faced a fourth charge that he breached an anti-social behaviour order.

No pleas were entered by Waddington and Meeson, of High Road, Short Heath when they appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court.

The case was adjourned until October 20 when it will next be heard at Wolverhampton Crown Court.

The premises was closed for a couple of hours for officers to carry out forensic investigations.
