The Fathers Home church, led by pastors Ingrid and Vince Nuara, is looking for a permanent home for its food bank, which currently has three different locations in Bushbury

The Fathers Home in Wolverhampton has been running a food bank since March last year, helping families near its base in Bushbury and further afield.

The food bank started in the garage of the home of church pastors Vince and Ingrid Nuara and has grown to the point where operations are taking place in three different households.

Mrs Nuara said the food bank had been started to help supply food to people living near the church who were struggling during the pandemic.

She said: “We started to help the local community, then began to get referrals from Walsall and Wolverhampton Families charity to people living in Low Hill and the Scotlands estate.

"We’d like somewhere with plenty of shelves and storage space to allow us to have everything in one place.

"We’re working with Councillor Alan Butt and hope we can enlarge the team and help even more people as a result.”
