Man found dead at Pelsall canal

A man's body has been found near a canal bridge in Pelsall this morning.

The man was found dead after police were called to the Wyrley and Essington Canal this morning.

His body was found near a bridge on Norton Road, near to the Fingerpost pub, at around 6.45am today.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "The death is not believed to be suspicious and the coroner will be informed."
