Man's death not being treated as suspicious after body found in Coven

The death of a man whose body was found in South Staffordshire is not being treated as suspicious, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to Laches Lane, in the Slade Heath area of Coven, at around 9.50am on Saturday, February 13, following concerns about an individual.

A 47-year-old man was pronounced dead by paramedics a short time later.

Police are still conducting enquiries into the man's movements before his death, and are appealing for information.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "Officers are continuing to work to understand the man’s movements prior to his death and have conducted house-to-house inquiries and reviewed CCTV footage.

"The man is described as wearing a navy blue tracksuit top with a white collar, white cuffs, waistband and zip, grey jogging bottoms, black trainers and black bag.

"Formal identification is yet to take place and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
