Police appeal to find man who lost contact with family

Police trying to trace a man who has lost contact with his family have released a new photo of him – after he was seen shopping in the Black Country.

The family of 60-year-old Ivan Murrells are concerned for his welfare.

Mr Murrells has not been in contact with his family for a few months and has moved from his old address.

West Midlands Police believe he was shopping in Wednesbury on Christmas Eve, and have now released an image of him in the area.

Mr Murrells is around 5ft 6 and is usually clean shaven.

A spokesman for the force said: "Have you seen Ivan Murrells? The 60-year-old has not been in contact with his family for a few months and has moved from his old address, so his sister is now concerned for his welfare.

"Ivan is 5ft 6 tall and is usually clean shaven.

"We believe he was shopping in the Wednesbury area on Christmas Eve – Thursday, December 24 – and we have now managed to get a picture of him in a store.

"We are asking anyone who recognises him to get in touch with us."

Anyone who sees Mr Murrells, or knows of his whereabouts, can call police on 101.
