Man taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by car in Great Barr

A man was seriously injured when he was hit by a car in Great Barr.

The man, aged 34, was struck by a car in Newton Road near to the Scott Arms junction at around 6.50pm on Saturday. He suffered head injuries and remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

The driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries.

Officers want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and not spoken to police already.

They particularly want to hear from anyone who may have dash cam footage which can assist with the investigation.
