Teenager, 14, missing in Sandwell

Fears are growing for the safety of a 14-year-old girl who has been missing from the Black Country for more than 24 hours.

Vanessa Obidum was last seen boarding the 47 bus in Wednesbury on Wednesday afternoon.

She is described as 5ft 7ins tall and slim, with short black hair. She was last seen wearing all black clothing, a school jumper and a khaki colour coat.

She is also said to have a distinctive pink backpack with her as well.

West Midlands Police is growing extremely concerned for her wellbeing and is urging anyone who sees Vanessa to contact.

They have released a picture of her in a bid to locate her.

A spokesman for the force said: "We're appealing to trace a teenager who has gone missing in Sandwell.

"Vanessa Obidum, aged 14, was last seen boarding the 47 bus in Wednesbury on Wednesday afternoon.

"We are extremely concerned for her wellbeing and need to find her as soon as possible.

"Vanessa is 5ft 7ins tall and slim, with short black hair. She was last seen wearing all black clothing, a school jumper and a khaki colour coat. She had a distinctive pink backpack with her too."

Anyone with information is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101.
