Stourbridge road closed as air ambulance called to 'medical episode'

An air ambulance landed in Stourbridge after a person suffered a 'medical episode' in a car.

Emergency services were called to Vicarage Road in Wollaston at around 4pm today after an incident in a car.

Police confirmed that a person in the vehicle had suffered a medical episode.

Two fire engines, a brigade response vehicle, two police cars and two ambulances attended the scene, alongside the air ambulance that landed at nearby playing fields.

Green tarpaulin was seen around the car throughout the afternoon.

The condition of the victim is not known and West Midlands Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
