Sophie Bayliss is looking for more people to join her recycling project

Sophie Bayliss, from Dudley, started litter picking each Sunday a month ago and now has more than a dozen helpers.

The 27-year-old, who works for Black Country Radio, said: "Everywhere you go there's more litter and when you start to notice it you can't miss it.

"We're after as many people as possible to help out.

"We started in an area near me that was completely covered, we're going to help out all over the borough.

"We're spreading the word out on social media and people are turning up, it shows that it's not just me that cares.

"It's a big community spirit thing.

"If there are any locations that people feel passionate about they can message the station and it will come through to me.

"I want to clean up the borough essentially, as we shouldn't have to live in an area that's full of rubbish.

"I want all of our children to grow up in a clean and friendly environment."
