Creative Black Country, part of a programme funded by the Arts Council England, is searching for people to show their ideas to help others develop their creative side.

Kerry O'Coy, marketing manager, said: "We are offering small commissions of £500 to £2,000 for projects that develop creative activity and for local communities in the Black Country.

"We are looking for creative, socially distanced lockdown activities which bring fun, joy and creativity to local people.

"Last year Creative Black Country saw a new strand of commissioned work during the first lockdown.

"These included ceramic kits sent out to families, art packs and an online poetry group taking place on Zoom.

"People produced outdoor art galleries with their neighbours, designed positive posters for window displays, assembled a street community of events, led online dance and drumming tutorials and created videos with community participants.

"The commissioned projects were so successful that we are bringing Creative Connections back this year.

"People can be as creative as they want whether it is through theatre, sculpture, taking photographs or whatever they want to do.

"Anyone interested has to apply via the www.creativeblackcountry.co.uk website by January 25."
