Closures in place while Perry Barr flyover is removed
Major work has taken place this weekend including the removal of the main deck of the Perry Barr flyover.
The A34 northbound closed at 8pm on Friday and will reopen at 6am on Monday.
Diversion routes are in place and access to the One Stop Shopping Centre is being maintained.
From Monday to Friday there will be temporary lane closures on the A4040 (East) Aston Lane in both directions, the A4040 (West) Wellington Road in both directions and the A453 (North) Aldridge Road from Harrier Way junction and A34 Southbound link to Harrier Way.
The works are being carried out by Birmingham City Council to create a new road layout as part of the wider regeneration of the Perry Barr area.
