Six people were led to safety after a fire in Birmingham.

Three fire crews were called to Selby Close in Garretts Green at 2.52am today.

The firefighters used dry powder and CO2 extinguishers to extinguish the blaze in an electrical fuse cupboard in a ground floor external store.

West Midlands Fire Service tweeted saying "Crews from Sheldon, Hay Mills and Ward End attending a three pump fire involving an electrical fuse cupboard at a property in Garretts Green. Six people have been led to safety."

The fire crews left the scene by 4.45am.
