St Francis' Church, Wren's Nest and Priory, be providing the use of its parish centre to act as a local Covid-19 vaccination centre.

The centre, which is being run in partnership with the Priory Road Community Pharmacy in Dudley, will open to the public in February to vaccinate around 2,000 people a week.

Alison Burton, volunteer co-ordinator at St Francis' Church said it was an honour to become a vaccination centre.

She said: "We are delighted to be able to get involved in a community initiative such as this and we are very happy to work alongside Priory Road Community Pharmacy."

Mrs Burton also said there was a need for volunteers for the community-led initiative, with three people needed at a time from Monday to Friday from 9am to 6.30pm.

Volunteers will be asked to fill three slots each day, working from 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm and 3pm-6.30pm.
