The phone mast has been earmarked for land in Forge Lane, in Cradley Heath.

The applicant says the phone mast, which would have six antennas and two dishes, would boost 5G and 4G mobile phone coverage in the area.

Sinclair Darby Ltd, a planning agent for Hutchinson 3G UK Ltd, has applied to Sandwell Council for "prior approval determination".

This type of application allows developments to be granted without the need for an official planning application.
