Sedgley road smash leaves woman with head injuries

A woman suffered a head injury following a crash in a village near Sedgley.

Two cars crashed along Wodehouse Lane, in Gospel End, around lunchtime today which saw one end up on its roof.

A woman managed to climb out of the overturned car but refused treatment hospital treatment.

Another woman and three children were in the other car but were unhurt.

West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman Jamie Arrowsmith said: "The only patient was a woman from the car that had overturned.

"She had managed to get herself out of the vehicle and was assisted for head injuries but refused hospital treatment. "

Police closed the road while a recovery took place.

Pictures taken from the scene show a silver car lying on its roof while another car was seen with damage to its front end.

Fire crews from Dudley Fire Station attended alongside ambulance crews.
