Three injured and road closed in Wolverhampton smash
A major road in Wolverhampton was partly closed after a car crash resulted in three people being sent to hospital.
The two car collision took place at around 12.50pm this afternoon on the Dudley Road in the Blakenhall area of the city, close to the Ek Niwas Temple.
Two fire engines attended the scene and firefighters cut a casualty free from a car.
Three people were treated at the scene for their injuries, and taken to New Cross Hospital following the crash.
Two people complained of chest pain, one of which also suffered from arm pain. The other person experienced back pain and a minor head injury.
The Dudley Road was closed at Cartwright Street.
West Midlands police confirmed that they were called to the scene by the ambulance service at 12.51pm.
One patrol car attended the scene and police were still waiting for the vehicles to be recovered at 1.50pm.
