Victim severely hurt in attack near Wolverhampton tram stop

A man suffered severe injuries to his face when he was set upon by a group of people who left him unconscious near a tram stop in Wolverhampton.

The victim sustained damaged teeth and bruising among his injuries during a serious assault which happened near St George’s tram stop at about 5am on August 28.

British Transport Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened near Market Street to come forward.

The man, who has not been named, was taken to hospital for extensive jaw surgery.
