Urgent appeal to trace missing 12-year-old boy

Darnell Ferguson went missing from his home in Handsworth on April 27.

He left at around 9.30pm and West Midlands Police have been trying to locate him since then.

Officers are currently following up sightings, with recent information suggesting he has been using buses in Perry Barr, Walsall and Acocks Green.

Darnell is black, with short black hair and was last seen wearing a black Nike coat with fur rimmed hood and white stripe across the back.

He was wearing a grey tracksuit with grey hoodie, black trainers and a black rucksack with a large white Nike logo on the back.

Given his age, officers are concerned for his welfare and anyone with information has been asked to contact 999.
