Eight men to stand trial in October in connection with murder of man in Dudley

Eight men will stand trial in October in connection with the murder of Mohammed Haroon Zeb in Dudley.

Mr Zeb was taken to hospital with serious injuries after an incident in Queens Cross on January 31 at 12.35am.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to their charges at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday. A trial is expected to take place on October 18.

Hassan Tasleem, 23, of Richmond Road, in Dudley, is charged with murder.

The other defendants have all been charged with conspiracy to commit murder: Akarsh Tasleem, 25, from Shaw Road in Dudley; Choudhary Naheim Rashid, 47, from Kingswinford Road in Dudley; Umar Ali, 20, of Blowers Green Road in Dudley; Mohamad Rafiq, 19, of Gammage Street in Dudley; Gurdeep Sandhu, 23, of Blowers Green Road in Dudley; Choudhary Akeel Hussain, 21, from Brook Street in Dudley; Shamraz Ali, 19, of Tanfield Road in Dudley.
