Man stabbed in head in Wolverhampton

A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the head in Wolverhampton.

Police were called to the scene in Butts Road at about 6.15am today to reports of disorder.

The man, in his 50s, was found and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating after being called to reports of a disorder in Butts Road, Wolverhampton, at about 6.15am today.

"A man in his 50s suffered a stab wound to his head and was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"No other injuries were reported to us.

"Enquiries to establish who was responsible are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact us via Live Chat or 101. Quote log 66 of 25 April."
