Driver flees after car crashes into Rowley Regis home

A driver fled the scene after a car crashed into a home in Rowley Regis.

The white car crashed into a window of a living room in Highmoor Road at about 10pm on Saturday.

A passenger was treated by paramedics, but no one was seriously injured.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Fire Service said: "The time of call from the police was 10.10pm.

"It was a car vs house, vehicle in the living room, nobody trapped, nobody was injured.

"One male passenger had precautionary checks from the ambulance service.

"A driver left the scene before our arrival, the male passenger exited the car.

"There was no structural damage to the house.

"We left the scene at 11.04pm."

Haden Cross Fire Station tweeted saying: "Green watch out at a road traffic collision, car into house.

"West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Midlands Police also in attendance, no persons injured just rather surprised to find a car in the front room!"

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "We were called to reports of a car going into a house in Highmoor Road, Rowley Regis at about 10pm yesterday.

"No one reported any injuries to us and enquiries continue.
