Alleged Black Country kidnapper arrested after schoolboy 'held against his will'

An alleged kidnapper has been arrested after a schoolboy was reportedly held against his will in the Black Country.

The 45-year-old man is alleged to have attacked a 14-year-old boy, kidnapped him and held him against his will at an address in Walsall earlier this week.

The 14-year-old was reported to have been rescued by his family and was not seriously hurt in the incident.

His alleged kidnapper has since been released on police bail.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of kidnap and assault after it’s alleged he attacked a teenager and held him against his will at an address in Walsall.

"The boy, aged 14, was not seriously hurt.

"The man has since been released on police bail."
