Plea date set for alleged Black Country post thieves

A new plea date has been set for defendants in a case where a postman was assaulted and had mail stolen.

The incident took place in the Tower View Road and Poplar Road area of Landywood, near Great Wyrley, at around 11.30am on Saturday, October 24.

Craig Ramsay, 37, of Beakes Road, Smethwick, is charged with theft of mail in Tower View Road and assaulting the postman.

Thomas Smith, 30, of Meadow View, West Bromwich, is charged with theft. Both men are in custody.

A 17-year-old charged with theft is on bail. All three are set to appear before Warwick Crown Court on October 4 to enter their pleas.
