Teenage terror suspect to face trial this year

A teenager is to face trial later this year after pleading not guilty to 20 terror-related charges.

Nuh Raheel, 19, from Wednesbury, denied 10 counts of possession of an article for terrorist purposes, relating to documents including one named 39 Ways To Serve And Participate In Jihad.

Appearing at Birmingham Crown Court via a video-link from London’s Wandsworth jail yesterday, Raheel also entered not guilty pleas to 10 counts of collecting terrorist information.

All 20 offences are alleged to have been committed on or before October 13 last year.

Raheel, of Knowles Street, Wednesbury, West Midlands, was remanded in custody and will now stand trial at the same court on June 7.
