Serving and former West Midlands Police officers charged with misconduct in public office

A serving West Midlands Police constable and a former officer have been charged with misconduct in in public office.

Pc Anthony Ritchie, aged 43, allegedly formed an inappropriate relationship between June 4, 2014 and March 29, 2018.

It is claimed the relationship was formed with a woman who he met during the course of his duties as a police officer.

Former Pc Steven Walters, aged 52, allegedly engaged in sexual activity with a woman during the course of his duties. Pc Walters left the force in 2016 with the alleged offence relating to October 1, 2013.

Pc Ritchie and Pc Walters will make a first appearance at Birmingham Magistrates' Court at 11am on April 23.
