Garden furniture stolen from Himley House Hotel after tyres dumped

A thief in a van dumped tyres at a Dudley hotel – before stealing more than a dozen items of garden furniture.

It is believed a man in a van dumped the tyres at Himley House Hotel, off Wolverhampton Road, Himley, at around 7.30pm on Saturday.

He was then seen to steal the hotel's Rattan-style garden furniture – around 16 chairs and some tables.

The man then left the scene in the van.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "We received a call at about 12.35am on Sunday, March 14, from the Himley House Hotel on Wolverhampton Road, Himley.

"At about 7.30pm on Saturday, March 13, a van parked up outside the hotel and a man got out and appeared to dump a load of tyres before stealing the hotel’s Rattan-style garden furniture – about 16 chairs and some tables – before getting back in the van and driving off."

Anyone with information, or who saw anything suspicious in the area, should call Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 264 of March 14.
