Three men remanded to appear at crown court over Dudley shooting death

Three men are set to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court in connection with a fatal shooting in Dudley.

Mohammed Haroon Zeb died after being shot in Queens Cross just after 12.35am on January 31.

Umar Ali, 20, Mohammed Rafiq, 19, and Gurdeep Sandhu, 23, were all charged with conspiracy to commit murder and made their first appearance at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today.

Ali and Sandhu, both of Blowers Green, in Dudley, and Rafiq, of Gammage Street, in Dudley, were all remanded in custody to appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court on March 15.

Police have now arrested 13 people in connection with Mr Zeb’s murder, four have previously been charged.

Hassan Tasleem, 23, of Richmond Road, in Dudley, was the first person charged with murder.

Akarsh Tasleem, 25, from Shaw Road, in Dudley, and Choudhary Naheim Rashid, from Kingswinford Road, in Dudley, have both been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

West Midlands Police officers are continuing to investigate Mr Zeb's death and have asked anyone with information to call them on 101, quoting 20DY/28354Z/21.
