Cone-throwing teenagers leave man needing surgery in Stourbridge attack

Two men suffered head injuries after they were attacked by a group of teenagers in Stourbridge, with one of them left needing an operation to insert metal plates.

The victims, both aged 23, were attacked by a group of eight teenagers on Hagley Road after the youths had been throwing cones at oncoming traffic.

The incident happened at around 10.30pm on October 17 but police have only now released CCTV pictures of the group they believe are responsible.

The suspects, four boys and four girls, are all thought to be aged 18 or 19.

The main attacker has been described as a white man wearing dark clothing and a gold neck chain. After the attack the group ran off in the direction of Pedmore Road.

Anyone who recognises the suspects is urged to get in touch. The force is also appealing directly to the suspects to contact officers about what happened.
