Teenager arrested after 16-year-old boy stabbed in Walsall

A teenager has been arrested after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in Walsall.

The boy was stabbed in the stomach on Coldmore Road, Coldmore at around 3.30pm on Wednesday. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

An 18-year-old man from Walsall has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and currently remains in custody.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We’ve arrested a young man after a teenager was stabbed in Walsall on Wednesday afternoon.

"We continue to examine CCTV and are conducting other enquiries to understand what happened.

"We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything.
