CCTV released after attempted robbery on train at Walsall Railway Station

A man was assaulted in an attempted robbery on a train at Walsall Railway Station.

Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.

The victim was sitting on board the train with his bicycle while it was at then station when he was approached by two men at about 4pm on December 21.

One of the men pointed at the victim’s bike and said “You know I’m having this big man” before grabbing it and trying to take it off the train. The victim stepped in to protect his property, at which point he was assaulted by one of the men.

The two men got off the train and ran away.
