Police appeal after man found dead in South Staffordshire

A police appeal has been launched after a man was found dead in South Staffordshire.

The 47-year-old was found today at 9.50am on Laches Lane in Slade Heath, Coven.

He was pronounced dead at the scene – with the death being treated as unexplained, the force said.

Now officers want to talk with anyone who was in the area between 7pm on Saturday and Sunday morning.

Police understand the man was last seen alive in the area of New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton.

He is described as a white male, of slim build, wearing a black beanie hat and grey tracksuit bottoms.

He was also wearing a white tracksuit top and a black Adidas man bag with black trainers.

Anyone with information is asked to message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter, quoting incident number 133 of February 14.
