Mr Zeb, known as Haroon, was shot in Queens Cross during the early hours of January 31, and later died from his injuries in hospital.

Hassan Tasleem was arrested by police on Wednesday and was charged with Mr Zeb's murder this morning.

Tasleem, 23, of Richmond Road, Dudley, appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today. He was remanded in custody for a hearing at Wolverhampton Crown Court on February 15.

Detective Chief Inspector Jim Munro, from West Midlands Police's homicide team, said: "This is a significant development in what is still a very active investigation.

"This remains an extremely difficult time for Mr Zeb's family and we're determined to get answers and justice for them."

As part of the investigation, a 26-year-old woman was earlier this week arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, and three men – aged between 19 and 26 years old – were previously detained on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. They have all now been bailed.

A 37-year-old man who was previously arrested on suspicion of murder has been released with no further action.

Anyone with information which may assist West Midlands Police with their investigation is urged to call West Midlands Police on 101, quoting incident number 20DY/28354Z/21.
