A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "Thankfully our crew were uninjured and no patients were on-board.

"But the vehicle is now off the road awaiting repair which means there's one less ambulance available today.

"The CCTV footage from the vehicle will be shared with the police.

"Did you witness anything which could help police with their investigation?"

"Please contact West Midlands Police."

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We’re investigating after an ambulance was damaged when a brick was thrown at it in Dibdale Road West, Dudley, just after 7pm yesterday."
