The man, who was driving a silver Nissan Micra, failed to stop for officers in Netherton before a pursuit began.

He eventually stopped the vehicle and tried fleeing on foot, but he was detained by officers based at Brierley Hill police station, who arrested him on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.

The vehicle was also seized.

Force Response, which tweeted about the incident, published a photograph showing small packets of drugs which were seized, alongside the weapon and paper money.
